Citrus bioflavonoids are compounds found in citrus fruits like tangerines, oranges, and grapefruit. Research on Citrus bioflavonoids has shown a variety of benefits which have made this ingredient ideal for applications targeting support for the immune system, respiratory health, cognitive health, vascular integrity, metabolism, cholesterol, joint health and systemic antioxidant support among others.
Hesperidin is a bioflavonoid, which has been reported to boost recovery after intense exercise by improving oxidation and inflammation. A recent study (2021) mentioned on Nutraingredients has shown that acute and chronic intake of 500mg of 2S-hesperidin in amateur cyclists, significantly improved anaerobic performance. It was also aimed to explain the metabolic, biochemical and molecular mechanisms by which this happens. Click here for access to the original article.
LEHVOSS Nutrition offer a fully, technical approved Citrus bioflavonoids which is suitable for use in food supplements. This material is a fine powder (80mesh) with minimum 60% Hesperidin by HPLC, from sweet oranges.
