Benicaros®: Highly Recommended for Immune & Gut Health

At this year’s Vitafoods, Benicaros® was recognised for its efficacy and placed among the three Finalists in the Immune & Gut Health Ingredients category at the Innovation Awards 2025.

This prestigious award sets out to identify revolutionary developments in the nutraceuticals industry, with Benicaros® standing out and receiving the special recognition of “highly commended” by the judging panel.

This is not the first time: Benicaros® was proud winner of the 2024 Nutraingredients USA Award for Ingredient of the Year in the Microbiome Modulation category. This award highlighted Benicaros® ability to consistently improve immune health and gut microbiota composition, regardless of individual microbiome differences1.

Research shows that Benicaros® reaches the gut intact, where it works in two ways: improving innate immune cell response1 whilst consistently boosting the production of beneficial gut bacteria in every type of gut microbiome ecosystem2.

Additionally, research has shown that Benicaros® may increase the production of short-chain fatty acids that modulate many body functions, including the immune system. In addition, Benicaros® also demonstrated notably lower gas production than standard prebiotics3.

A recent study4 provides new insights into how the unique molecular structure and cell surface patterns of Benicaros® contribute to enhancing immune system responses.

Benicaros® is sourced from upcycled carrot pomace; it is highly soluble and offers excellent organoleptic properties. Safety has been confirmed by toxicity studies, with no adverse effects reported in human clinical trials.
