Golden Omega® 2024 Sustainability Report Now Available

Golden Omega®’s 2024 Sustainability Report highlights the company’s continued commitment to responsible practices and positive social impact.

Initiatives included improving employee well-being through enhanced safety, health, and development programs, as well as promoting work-life balance. This year saw the launch of a community engagement strategy based on a diagnostic study from 2023.

Since 2021, Golden Omega® has reduced waste disposal by 33% and potable water use by 47%, thanks in part to a new desalination plant in water-scarce Arica. The company also measured its corporate carbon footprint for the first time, earning recognition from Chile’s Ministry of the Environment through the Huella Chile program. Watch a short video here.

Labour conditions were further improved by reducing employee turnover, shortening working hours, and offering more flexible schedules. The Golden Omega® Sports Club also hosted mixed-gender sports tournaments in 2024, fostering team spirit and well-being.

As part of its Community Engagement Strategy, Golden Omega® partnered with the Sea Museum to support cultural, educational, and environmental development in Arica. The initiative aims to foster marine ecosystem awareness—especially among children and youth—promote ocean conservation, and create open, educational spaces that strengthen ties between Golden Omega®, the Sea Museum, and the local community.
