What does sustainable Omega-3 production look like in practice? Golden Omega®’s Sustainability Report Video brings the whole story to life, showing how responsible sourcing, operational efficiency and quality assurance all come together to help support premium Omega-3 concentrates through initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impacts across sourcing and manufacturing operations.
Key initiatives include ongoing sourcing from responsibly managed South Pacific fisheries, sourcing from fisheries certified and managed in accordance with recognised fishery standards, with the aim of supporting responsible fisheries management while maintaining quality, traceability and supply chain transparency.
New developments in 2025 included optimisation of crude oil utilisation to improve production efficiency, alongside initiatives focused on recycling, reducing operational emissions and improving resource efficiency. Significant progress was also achieved through ISO 27001:2022 certification.
Along with the implementation of the myLIMS platform, this strengthens Golden Omega®'s information security, traceability, and laboratory transparency.
Environmental initiatives include the use of electricity certified by Green-e™ as 100% renewable at the northern Chile facility, shorter transport routes due to proximity to fisheries, and onsite production systems designed to minimise oil waste. A seawater desalination system is used to reduce reliance on local potable water supplies.
The company strengthened its social impact through educational partnerships and community initiatives. Support for local surf and bodyboarding events promoted active lifestyles, while sponsorship of the Arica Nativa Film Festival and the Andean Carnaval Con la Fuerza del Sol helped celebrate the culture and heritage of northern Chile.
These achievements support Golden Omega®’s mission to deliver premium fish oil concentrates produced using documented sourcing, quality and operational programmes, with exceptional purity and traceability. Produced from ORIVO-Verified Pure Anchovy from the South Pacific, Golden Omega® Fish Oil concentrates provide up to 700 mg/g EPA and DHA combined and are certified by Friend of the Sea, Dolphin Safe and MarinTrust.
