Golden Omega®: Leading the Way in Sustainable Omega-3 Production

What does sustainable Omega-3 production look like in practice? Golden Omega®’s Sustainability Report Video brings the whole story to life, showing how responsible sourcing, operational efficiency and quality assurance all come together to help support premium Omega-3 concentrates with a lower environmental impact. Key initiatives include ongoing sourcing from responsibly managed South Pacific fisheries, protecting marine biodiversity while maintaining quality, traceability and supply chain transparency.

New developments in 2025 included optimisation of crude oil utilisation to improve production efficiency, alongside initiatives focused on recycling, emission reductions and responsible resource management. Significant progress was also achieved through ISO 27001:2022 certification.

Along with the implementation of the myLIMS platform, this strengthens Golden Omega®'s information security, traceability, and laboratory transparency.

Environmental efforts include 100% renewable energy use at the northern Chile facility, certified by Green-e™, reduced transport emissions through proximity to fisheries, and onsite production systems designed to eliminate oil waste. A seawater desalination system reduces reliance on local potable water supplies, supporting regional water security.

The company strengthened its social impact through educational partnerships and community initiatives. Support for local surf and bodyboarding events promoted active lifestyles, while sponsorship of the Arica Nativa Film Festival and the Andean Carnaval Con la Fuerza del Sol helped celebrate the culture and heritage of northern Chile.

These achievements support Golden Omega®’s mission to deliver premium, sustainably produced fish oil concentrates with exceptional purity and traceability. Produced from ORIVO-Verified Pure Anchovy from the South Pacific, Golden Omega® Fish Oil concentrates provide up to 700 mg/g EPA and DHA combined and are certified by Friend of the Sea, Dolphin Safe and MarinTrust.
