From the makers of Univestin™, Attenutin™ is the perfect ingredient for boosting immunity after winter. Attenutin™ is a proprietary bioflavonoid composition derived from Scutellaria baicalensis and Acacia catechu, clinically studied for immune support during cold and flu season, and clinically evaluated for respiratory protection in oxidative stress conditions.
Recent (2023) research highlights the role of Attenutin™ in respiratory protection under oxidative stress1, demonstrating efficacy in reducing key inflammatory markers (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6), as well as decreasing extracellular HMGB1, a critical mediator of lung inflammation. These findings suggest potential benefits for healthy lung function (for example, during pollution exposure) or respiratory challenges in winter and spring time.
Additionally, a 56-day randomised, placebo-controlled clinical trial in adults aged 40–80 showed that Attenutin™ (250mg twice daily) significantly strengthened the humoral immune response to vaccination by increasing IgA and IgG antibody levels. These improvements suggest enhanced mucosal and protective immunity, while higher glutathione peroxidase levels indicate added antioxidant support2.
Attenutin™ is developed by Unigen, a U.S. based manufacturer specialising in scientifically validated, plant-based blends: AmLexin™, Anivestin™, Attenutin™ and Univestin®. Using its proprietary Phytologix® Technology Platform, Unigen ensures every ingredient is carefully researched and standardised for quality and efficacy.
