Science Meets Mobility: How AmLexin® Preserves Cartilage Integrity

Cartilage integrity is fundamental to long-term joint function. While many joint health ingredients focus mainly on comfort and flexibility, AmLexin® takes a proactive approach by helping preserve cartilage integrity, while supporting one of the key structures responsible for healthy joint function.

AmLexin® is a clean-label, plant-based formulation backed by extensive preclinical and clinical research. In a 12-week study involving 135 adults across different age groups with knee discomfort, participants taking 400 mg/day of AmLexin® showed a reduction in uCTX-II, a biomarker of type II collagen degradation and cartilage breakdown1.

AmLexin® has also demonstrated its ability to help protect cartilage from degradation.

In ex vivo studies, AmLexin® reduced glycosaminoglycan (GAG) release, inhibited proteoglycan degradation and demonstrated significant improvements in cartilage matrix integrity².

Recent research shows that AmLexin™ works synergistically with Univestin® to provide complementary joint support. Univestin® is associated with rapid improvements in stiffness, while AmLexin® provides clinically demonstrated cartilage support. Together both ingredients may address immediate joint comfort and long-term joint integrity3.

AmLexin® was developed using Unigen's proprietary Phytologix® Technology Platform, which contains comprehensive botanical profiles on more than 12,000 plants and data from thousands of extracts and fractions. This science-driven approach enabled the identification of plant-derived actives with targeted health benefits, leading to the discovery of the unique botanical combination behind AmLexin®.

Supported by a growing body of preclinical and clinical research, AmLexin® helps maintain cartilage quality alongside healthy joint function. Combined with its strong safety profile, this makes AmLexin® an appealing ingredient for innovative mobility products.
